Walk-in Covid-19 vaccination at 5 Klang Valley PPVs discontinued

Health authorities are discontinuing walk-in Covid-19 vaccination at five vaccination centres in the Klang Valley.

They are the PPV Bangi Avenue Convention Centre in Bangi, PPV Multimedia University in Cyberjaya, PPV Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, PPV Universiti Kuala Lumpur British Malaysian Institute (UniKL British BMI) in Gombak, and PPV Ideal Convention Centre in Shah Alam.

According to the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force, the only location where walk-in service would be available from tomorrow onwards is the Kuala Lumpur Health Clinic.

However, it is limited to Malaysian citizens at the clinic’s operation area. Foreigners who wish to get vaccinated at the clinic will have to book an appointment.

In its statement today, CITF listed a total of 13 clinics in Kuala Lumpur and one in Putrajaya where the public can also schedule their vaccination appointment.

They are Klinik Kesihatan (KK) Kuala Lumpur, KK Setapak, KK Kampung Pandan, KK Datuk Keramat, KK Jinjang, KK Sentul, KK Batu Muda, KK Tanglin, KK Muhibbah, KK Bandar Tun Razak, KK Cheras, KK Sungai Besi, and KK Cheras baru in Kuala Lumpur; while for Putrajaya, KK Putrajaya Presint 18.

CITF said they will release the list for Selangor soon.

“This decision was taken after seeing that the number of vaccine recipients continues to decrease and discussion between CITF and the Health Ministry,” the task force said.

According to CITF’s statistics, as of yesterday, a total of 20,093,678 individuals in the Klang Valley have received complete Covid-19 immunisation.

The figure is 110.5 percent of the estimated adult population in the Klang Valley.
