Pasir Mas MP is new PAS Youth Wing chief
Pasir Mas MP Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has been elected to lead the PAS Youth Wing for its 2021-2023 term, replacing incumbent Senator Khairil Nizam Khiruddin.
Khairil did not defend his position. Fadhli, 41, who had served as Khairil's deputy in the previous term, defeated Kubu Gajah assemblyperson Khalil Yahaya.

Fadhli (above) also contested to defend his deputy chief's post and lost in another three-cornered contest. The post was won by former PAS Youth vice-chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden.
Meanwhile, Selangor Perikatan Nasional Youth chief Hanapi Zulkafli, who is also Selangor PAS Youth chief, was elected as the Youth wing's vice-chief to replace Afnan.
Overall, 34 candidates vied for 12 central committee member seats, while the positions of permanent chairperson and permanent deputy chairperson were won uncontested by Riduan Mohd Nor and Nor Azariza Mohd Alawi respectively.
A total of 709 delegates were eligible to vote and there were 636 votes received.
Unlike previous years, PAS wings this year held their annual muktamar in different states and PAS Youth members had gathered in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, this weekend.
The 67th PAS central muktamar will be held in Kuala Terengganu on Nov 6 and Nov 7.
