The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has handed over two more of its officers to the police to assist in investigations into an RM700,000 gang robbery case last Friday in Kuala Lumpur.
In a statement yesterday, MACC said it was giving full cooperation to the police on the matter.
"Once again, the MACC would like to stress that this commission will not compromise or protect any of our officers involved in crime and urges the investigation to be expedited," MACC said.
Last Saturday, a news portal reported that two individuals, including an officer of an enforcement agency, were arrested by the police after they were suspected of being involved in a gang robbery at a house in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, which involved a loss of almost RM1 million.
MACC assisted the police to track down the officer from the commission and handed him over to the police.
