Bangi MP Ong Kian Ming has shared a photo on social media of his new sunburnt look after he aided residents in flood-stricken Taman Sri Muda in Shah Alam yesterday.

Ong, who was visibly tanned on his feet and face (except where his face mask was), appeared to be sharing the photo in response to those who claim politicians just drop by for a few photo ops.

"I don't think I can get this tan from doing a few photo ops, right? And in case anyone is wondering... I'm wearing a pasar malam Armani ya," he tweeted.

Yesterday, he was at Taman Sri Muda to assess the situation and help residents trapped by rising floodwaters.

Aside from spending a few hours there, Ong also raised the issue of rescue coordination with Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari.

While many lauded Ong's efforts in the field, he found himself facing accusations that he was supporting counterfeits by wearing a fake Armani.

When asked about it, he told Malaysiakini that the T-shirt was given to him 20 years ago by a friend.
