The Perak state government will postpone the enforcement of permits to carry out recreational activities in the Bukit Kledang area.
Perak Menteri Besar Saarani Mohamad said enforcement of the permits, which are to enter permanent forest reserves, will be discussed at a state executive council meeting next week.
“I have informed Perak Forestry director Mohamed Zin Yusop to take note of the matter and take the necessary action,” he said.
Saarani was speaking to reporters after attending a Moh Mengopi programme in Tapah today.
The Perak State Forestry Department recently announced permits will be required to enter permanent forest reserves to carry out recreational activities.
The seasonal passes would have taken effect next month.
According to the announcement, Malaysians will be charged between RM10 and RM200 while the fee for foreigners is from RM400 to RM800 with a processing fee of RM20.
