Pakatan Harapan has yet to discuss matters related to cooperation with the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda), said the coalition’s chairperson Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar, who is also PKR president, said the matter has not been discussed in Harapan’s presidential council.

“Harapan did not discuss the matter (collaboration with Muda), the matter did not arise.

“There is no problem with collaboration and discussions, even among the opposition. But the question about (Muda) being part of Harapan has not been discussed by the Harapan presidential council,” he said.

Anwar (above) said this to reporters when met at the 2022 Climate Change Symposium organised by the Opposition Leader's office with cooperation from the office of the Dewan Rakyat speaker and the Parliament at the Parliament building, today.

Meanwhile, Muda is ready to cooperate with Harapan in the upcoming 15th general election (GE15), said its president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.

He said this when met by Bernama outside Muda’s closed-door workshop held today in conjunction with Muda’s Election Conference taking place tomorrow.

According to Syed Saddiq, his party will appoint and announce the party's election director and election committee for GE15 at tomorrow's conference.

He said Muda hopes to have more women at the forefront of the candidate selection process to get the election machinery moving.
