COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 1,867 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.

Active cases currently stood at 25,174, down 7.3 percent compared to 14 days ago.

New cases according to states are as follows:

Another 4 deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday in Sabah (2), Pahang (1) and Sarawak (1).

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,369 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.

There have been 153 reported Covid-19 deaths this month. For comparison, there were 247 deaths last month and 204 deaths in July.

There are 1,060 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 43 are in intensive care.

The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Sabah (79) followed by Selangor (79) and Johor (37).
