Perak Amanah will be fielding over 15 fresh faces in a total of 26 parliamentary and state seats that the party will be contesting in the 15th general election (GE15).

State Amanah chairperson Asmuni Awi told a presser today that the party will be contesting in six parliamentary constituencies and 20 state seats, an additional of two parliamentary seats and eight state seats from the previous election in 2018.

Asmuni said he will also be defending the Manjoi state seat, alongside Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin in Sungai Rapat and Yahaya Mat Nor (Pasir Panjang).

“We are fielding 12 new faces in the state seats and three new candidates in Larut, Bukit Gantang and Parit parliamentary seats,” he told reporters at Wisma Amanah Perak, Ipoh today.

Asmuni added that these new candidates will be fielded at seats previously contested by Bersatu - a former component party in Pakatan Harapan during GE14.

In addition, he said the party will also be featuring nine young candidates under the age of 40 for this election.
