Perak PAS: PN best option to maintain Malay-Muslim dominance

Perikatan Nasional (PN) is the best bet to preserve Malay-Muslim dominance in Perak, said state PAS commissioner Razman Zakaria.

He claimed that PN is what the people need because DAP was dominating Pakatan Harapan and Umno was willing to team up with them.

“PN has succeeded in forming a strong and strategic team to achieve the dream of leading Perak.

“Aware of the danger of DAP's dominance through Harapan, PN has placed candidates in all 59 state assembly seats and 24 parliamentary races.

“This is evidence of how serious PN is to capture Perak,” he said in a statement.

“Perak PAS is also aware of Umno’s influence in 40 Malay-dominated seats in Perak.

“And we see the tendency of Umno under its president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to bring the party together with Harapan,” Razman (above) alleged, saying it was clear through several media statements and documents.

“PAS, together with PN, will ensure that all Malay majority seats will be controlled by our coalition,” he added.

Earlier today, PN secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin claimed that Malay voters were turning away from BN because of Zahid and that even Perlis could fall to PN.

Echoing Hamzah’s sentiments, Razman said that voter awareness was high and claimed they favoured PN, especially in Perak.

“As the dominant race in Perak and Malaysia as a whole, Malay-Muslim dominance must be strengthened. Any attempt to undermine this will cause instability in politics and government.

“Perak PAS believes the strength of Malay unity is the solution to creating political and religious ability.

“We also need the support of other races that are not extreme in forming the new Perak government. Hence, Harapan’s efforts must be blocked,” Razman said.

He went on to claim that young voters believed in the leadership of the PN government in managing Covid-19, caring for the people and freeing the country from corruption and abuse of power.
