Siti Kasim decries attempt on life after 'bomb' found on car

Lawyer-activist Siti Kasim decried an alleged attempt on her life after a purported bomb was found on her car.

According to her, the object was found attached to the undercarriage of her vehicle when she sent it for servicing at a workshop in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, earlier today.

She conducted several Facebook live sessions to narrate her experience of finding the device.

“I sent my car for service as I need to drive to Kelantan for a court case this weekend.

“I was having lunch when the workshop called me to ask me about a suspicious-looking device,” she said.

Siti said she did not know when the device could have been fitted on her vehicle, as it was parked in her condominium all the while.

“I only went out to Petaling Jaya last night and I’m sure the police can find the culprit soon,” she said.

The purported bomb seemed to be two bottles stuffed with wires, which were attached with a hook to the car’s undercarriage.

Siti called the police after the find and they arrived soon after.

The workshop was then evacuated and cordoned off to ensure safety.

As of press time, the police’s bomb squad was conducting inspections at the site.

Malaysiakini has contacted Siti and the police for comments.
