DAP today unveiled the party's 15 candidates for the Selangor state election.

Of the 15, six are new candidates while the remainder are incumbents.

Five out of 15 (33.3 percent) of the candidates are women.

Among the incumbents are caretaker state executive member Ng Sze Han (Kinrara), former state speaker Ng Suee Lim (Sekinchan), as well as Michelle Ng (Subang Jaya), Lim Yi Wei (Kampung Tunku), and Jamaliah Jamaluddin (Bandar Utama).

Meanwhile, incumbents who are not contesting include Teng Chang Kim (Bandar Baru Klang), Ean Yong Hian Wah (Seri Kembangan), Lau Weng San (Banting) and V Ganabatirau (Kota Kemuning).

DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke is proposing that Ean Yong become the next Port Klang Authority chairperson, and Lau as the next Selangor state assembly speaker should Pakatan Harapan and BN win the state.

Teng, meanwhile, is retiring.

Balakong incumbent Wong Siew Ki will be moved to Seri Kembangan.
