PAS MUKTAMAR | PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang criticised the government led by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim as not being genuine in addressing the issues faced by the people.

Hadi claimed that problems such as inflation and rising commodity prices that burden the people are not given priority by the government.

“The issues of inflation and rising commodity prices are not being tackled as a priority. Today, the priority should be given to rice but it is not given serious attention. Instead, we see attention being given to other matters.

“We are concerned that rice is controlled by certain groups, cartels that claim to have government support,” he said in his policy speech and opening ceremony at the 69th PAS muktamar today.

Hadi highlights that there is also a lack of focus from the government when it comes to solving problems related to corruption, wastage, and leakages.

"We also find our economy in ramshackles, which affects the country's administration.

"There are still a lot of 'diseases' yet to be solved, such as poverty, unemployment, inflation, double standard prosecutions, and federalism which goes against the Federal Constitution," Hadi added.
