Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes late Tuesday on several towns and regions in southern Lebanon, reported Anadolu Agency, citing Lebanon’s official National News Agency (NNA).

“The enemy (Israeli) warplanes launched two raids on the outskirts of the towns of Yater and Kafra in Bint Jbeil District,” NNA reported.

According to an Anadolu correspondent, one of the airstrikes in Yater hit a three-storey house, causing major damage. However, no information has been received regarding any casualties.

NNA also reported that the Israeli aircraft also targeted the outskirts of the towns of Naqoura, Alma al-Shaab and Jabal al-Labouneh in South Governorate.

The Marjayoun Plain in Nabatieh Governorate and the forests of the town of Shebaa were also targeted, NNA added, without disclosing information about any casualties.

Tensions have flared along the border between Israel and Lebanon amid intermittent exchanges of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah since the outbreak of Israeli attacks on Gaza on Oct 7.
