People’s Progressive Party (MyPPP) senior vice-president Loga Bala Mohan will assume the position of acting president following the death of party president Maglin Dennis D'Cruz yesterday.

MyPPP secretary-general Inder Singh Beant Singh said this is in accordance with Clause 9.10 of the party constitution which stipulates that the senior vice-president will be acting as president should the position fall vacant.

According to Article 9.3 of the constitution, Loga Bala (above) will remain the acting president until a general assembly to elect a new president is held, he said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, in another statement, Inder Singh said those who wish to pay their last respects to Maglin can do so at Wisma MyPPP between 11am and 5pm on Nov 19 and between 9am and noon on Nov 20.

Maglin died at the age of 67.
