Amanah Youth vice-chief Zulhazmi Hassan has spoken out against the movement’s former youth leader who claimed there were rumblings among members who wished for a change of party president ahead of the party's election this month. 

Zulhazmi dismissed Hasnul Zulkarnain Abd Munaim’s claim as mere “fiction” and said that all Amanah members are aware the position of party president is not contested, but rather is chosen by consensus from among a 27-person committee elected by delegates.
