Hadi absent from Dewan Rakyat due to health issues - aide
PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang was absent from the opening ceremony of Dewan Rakyat’s new session this morning due to health issues, said his political secretary.
According to Syahir Sulaiman, the Marang MP was undergoing several follow-up treatments in Terengganu and has a medical certificate (MC).

“Tuan Guru’s (Hadi) health issues do not permit him to be present (at Parliament). He is still in recovery and undergoing follow-up treatment in Terengganu.
“An MC and letter from the hospital were submitted to the speaker (of the Dewan Rakyat) yesterday,” said Syahir, who is Bachok MP, in a text message.
Meanwhile, PAS spiritual leader Hashim Jasin was quoted by Free Malaysia Today as saying that doctors have advised Hadi against travelling due to his heart problem and several other ailments.
Hadi was noticeably absent from the opening ceremony for Dewan Rakyat’s new session today, where Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar delivered his first decree to the august house as the country’s 17th king.
In his speech, Sultan Ibrahim told MPs from both sides of the political divide that he would not entertain any attempts to topple the government.
The king also reminded the people’s representatives to stop playing politics and show a good example to the people, especially when they are in the Dewan Rakyat.

Public servants like civil servants when they cannot perform their duties and roles sufficiently well because of chronic ill heath they could be "medically boarded out". Don't you think Hadi should be medically boarded out ? Attending only 33 Parliamentary sessions out of 104, less than 50% attendance, that is serious dereliction of duty.

Old, Unhealthy lifestyle, no exercise, everyday talking rubbish and now sick like a dog. Better resign and let younger people take over and work for the rakyat. Now the rakyat is actually looking after him. Waste of money, resources and time. Now just Go lah. We don’t bloody owe you a living.
