Two cops killed, another injured in pre-dawn JB police station attack

Two police officers were killed and another was injured in an attack on the Ulu Tiram Police Station early this morning.

State police chief M Kumar confirmed the incident, stating that it occurred at 2.45am and involved a masked intruder armed with pistols and a machete.

The suspect was reported to have been shot dead at the scene.

Following the incident, the police seized a Walther P99 pistol and a HK MP5 submachine gun from the suspect.

Additional details will be provided by Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain, who is expected to arrive at the scene this morning.

The bodies of the deceased police officers and suspect, as well as the injured personnel, were sent to Sultan Ismail Hospital for autopsy and medical treatment, respectively.

The police officers killed in the incident are Ahmad Azza Fahmi Azhar and Muhamad Syafiq Ahmad Said.

Both were members of the crime prevention patrol at the police station and had only served with the team for about two years.
