TNB resolves power outage in Ampang and Klang

Tenaga Nasional Berhad has announced that the power supply disruption which affected parts of Ampang, Kuala Lumpur earlier today has been resolved.

“The power outage which affected parts of Ampang due to problems in the Pandan Maju main substation has been resolved.

“We would like to extend our appreciation to all for your cooperation while our team worked to resolve the issue,” TNB said on Facebook.

Earlier today, The Star reported that thousands of people were left without electricity in several areas in Ampang Jaya and Klang following a power disruption.

This was first reported in several areas in Ampang Jaya around noon, followed by Klang less than an hour later.

Repair works in Klang completed

TNB announced at 5pm on Facebook that it has resolved the power outage issue in Klang too.

According to its chief grid officer Hasmarizal Hassan, electricity supply was restored in all affected areas at 1.04pm.

“Although power has been restored, our technical team is still on site to monitor the situation.

“We also extend our apology for any inconvenience caused during the power outage,” he said.
