The two-day 266th meeting of the Conference of Rulers, which began yesterday at the Istana Negara, discussed the appointments of the chairperson and members of the Public Services Commission, the Election Commission chairperson, and royal professors.

The Office of the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal said the meeting, chaired by Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, also discussed a new policy proposal to amend Part III of the Federal Constitution regarding citizenship.

“The meeting was briefed on the nation’s security and defence by Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain and Chief of Defence Forces Gen Mohammad Ab Rahman,” it said in a statement.

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar attended today’s meeting. His Majesty was accompanied by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
