Perlis mufti loses 1m FB followers in cyberattack

Perlis mufti Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin’s personal Facebook account has come under cyberattack, causing him to lose a million followers.

Asri told Malaysiakini he is now using the “Dr Maza Channel” account on the social media platform as a replacement.

“The Dr Maza Facebook account lost over one million followers due to a cyberattack that came without any warning.

“This new Facebook page is a replacement for now,” he briefly said.

The “Dr Maza Channel” account has 31,000 followers.

He added that all information will be included on the aforementioned Facebook page.

Asri, popularly known as Dr Maza, is an active ulama on social media, providing explanations on religious and political matters.
