An advertising agency has apologised for running an AI-generated digital billboard portraying the Petronas Twin Towers as having three towers instead of two.
The billboard was initially put up on behalf of the Brickfields police headquarters in conjunction with the Merdeka month at Desa Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur.
Netizens noticed the error and shared it on social media before it was taken down.
In a brief statement on its official social media, Wow Media Sdn Bhd said it immediately took down the digital billboard after the mistake was pointed out.
"We apologise for the confusion this has caused and will evaluate all procedures to prevent recurrence in the future," the company added.
Brickfields police in its own social media post also said that it advised Wow Media to remove the visual poster after realising the mistake.
