Former deputy prime minister Musa Hitam has been appointed chancellor (menteri darjah) of the Darjah Yang Mulia Setia Mahkota.

The chancellor is in charge of signing decrees for the awarding of federal awards under the Darjah Yang Mulia Setia Mahkota title.
The awards under this category are the Seri Setia Mahkota which carries the title Tun, Panglima Setia Mahkota (Tan Sri), and Johan Setia Mahkota (no title).
The Prime Minister's Office announced that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong had assented to Musa's appointment, which is for a three-year term from Sept 13 this year until Sept 12, 2027.
