Hadi discusses M'sian politics, Palestinian struggle in Iran, Turkiye

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has returned from a trip to Tehran, Iran and Istanbul, Turkiye, where discussions were held about Malaysian politics and the situation in Palestine.

Hadi (above) also met with Turkish opposition Felicity Party (SP) president Temel Karamollaoğlu and leaders of the Islamic movements in Sudan, Lebanon, Iraq and others.

“Discussions (were held) on PAS political experience in Malaysia and the current situation of the Taufan al-Aqsa (al-Aqsa Storm).

“I also fulfilled an invitation to a lecture in Istanbul titled ‘Taufan al-Aqsa dan Masa Depan Ummah’ (al-Aqsa Storm and the future of the Muslim community) organised by the NGO International Youth Forum (IYF),” he said in a Facebook post today.

The PAS president attended several interviews with international media organisations, including TRT and Anadolu Agency Media.

Hadi also expressed hope that his trip would give meaning towards the direction of uniting Muslims “so that the light of Islam spreads to all corners of the earth”.

Previously, it was reported that the PAS president went to Iran to attend an annual meeting on uniting Muslims around the world.

Utusan Malaysia said that the Marang MP also met with Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Hadi had left on his trip following the PAS muktamar in Pahang, which ended on Sept 15.
