'Muhyiddin set it all': Fahmi pans Bersatu leader for mocking Anwar

PKR information chief Fahmi Fadzil took potshots at a Bersatu leader for saying Muhyiddin Yassin is more capable of managing party affairs as opposed to Anwar Ibrahim.

“Is that so? He (Muhyiddin) has set everything and everyone had to comply.

“It’s okay, that’s his opinion,” the communications minister said briefly during his weekly press conference in Putrajaya today.

On Nov 13, Bersatu supreme council member Dr Afif Bahardin said the victory of Muhyiddin’s “compromise team” proved the latter’s capability in managing party affairs.

He contrasted this to Anwar’s leadership of PKR, claiming the latter failed to contain confrontations in his party.

“He failed to contain the confrontation between Azmin (Ali) and Rafizi Ramli (in the PKR polls) in the past. Anwar even failed to contain the confrontation between Rafizi and Saifuddin (Nasution Ismail).

“Therefore, if PKR holds its polls next year, I believe there will be another confrontation which Anwar will again fail to contain. This is vastly different from Muhyiddin’s leadership,” Afif, a former PKR member, added.

On July 13, Muhyiddin announced that the party leadership came to an agreement on its next top-five line-up to ensure unity ahead of the party polls.

Among others, Hamzah Zainudin would become party deputy president – with Azmin taking up the secretary-general post.
