Two Bersatu assemblypersons - Wan Zikri Afthar Ishak (Tambun Tulang) and Megat Hashirat Hassan (Pauh) - have been dropped as Perlis exco members.

They were replaced by two other Bersatu representatives, namely Perlis Bersatu chief Abu Bakar Hamzah (Kuala Perlis) and Marzita Mansor (Sena).

This means that the quota of three Bersatu members in the state exco remains.

The change came in an exco reshuffle by Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli today.

Wan Zikri (above, left) had earlier confirmed to Malaysiakini when contacted of being dropped from the line-up.

Also appointed to the exco was PAS' Guar Sanji assemblyperson Mohd Ridzuan Hashim.

All three new exco members, as well as those who were retained in the reshuffle, were sworn in at Istana Arau.
