The proposed Urban Renewal Act provides an opportunity for more Malays to own property in urban areas, said Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s political secretary, Azman Abidin.  

Azman said this in dismissing the opposition’s view that the proposal was a subtle tactic to displace Malays from urban areas.
