PAS Youth has doubled down on its opposition against Putrajaya’s proposed Urban Renewal Act, cautioning that the legislation could lead to a gentrification phenomenon negatively impacting lower income Malay communities.

This is despite the government assuring that the original occupants of dilapidated housing would remain owners of redeveloped properties.
