Help PN win S'gor, change voting address - PAS tells supporters

Selangor PAS is hoping to engineer a demographic change in the state's electoral roll.

Specifically, state PAS chief Ab Halim Tamuri wants PAS supporters who live in Selangor but vote in other states - namely Kelantan, Terengganu, and Kedah - to become local voters instead.

"I really hope those who live in Selangor vote in Selangor. Especially in constituencies where we need (support) like Shah Alam, Sungai Buloh, Bangi, Sekinchan, Semenyih, and Sepang," he said at a breaking fast and dialogue event with the media in Shah Alam last night.

The Paya Jaras assemblyperson added that this is an easy thing to do as it only requires voters to bring their water or electricity bill to a post office to change their voter address.

If the relocation of PAS voters is a success, Ab Halim believed PN can capture Selangor in the next state election.

PAS and Perikatan Nasional made significant gains in Selangor during the 2023 state polls, bagging 22 state seats. Twenty-nine seats are needed to form the state government.

Under the rules, voters can change where they vote by first updating their MyKad.
