DAP Youth leader lodges police report against Hadi

A DAP Youth leader has lodged a police report against PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang over his latest statement against DAP.

According to Jefferson Chia, who is Kepong DAP Youth chief, Hadi (above) was allegedly seditious and racist when he said DAP leaders had openly opposed Islam.

"This is a dangerous allegation that can spark religious and racial tension.

"If the police do not take action, it is akin to giving a green light to politicians to make more extreme statements that are filled with hate and sedition," he said in a statement.

Chia lodged the report in Sentul yesterday evening and urged the police to investigate Hadi under the Penal Code and the Communications and Multimedia Act.

"This country has no place for toxic politics. Hadi must be dragged to court and held responsible," he added.

On Wednesday, Hadi posted on Facebook his latest 'Minda Presiden PAS' write-up where he targeted DAP's suggestion to limit the prime minister’s term to 10 years.

Claiming that the proposal itself is going against God's will, the Marang MP said Muslims are facing a test where DAP is openly opposing their religion.
