Massimo bread hit with supply disruption after Putra Heights fire

The production of Massimo bread products has been impacted by the April 1 gas pipeline fire in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya.

Pending restoration efforts, the company said the availability of its bakery products in stores may be temporarily limited beginning tomorrow until further notice. 

“We deeply value your support and regret any disappointment this may cause,” the company said in a statement today. 

It added that updates will be shared on its Massimo bread social media pages as the situation progresses. 

Previously, Gas Malaysia Bhd executed a gas supply curtailment in several areas, including Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya, Teluk Panglima Garang and Port Klang. 

The fire, which broke out at 8.10am on April 1, caused widespread destruction against properties such as vehicles and houses within a 500m radius from the incident site. 

The blaze resulted in towering flames, intense heat, and debris, with over 500 victims displaced and more than 100 injured.
