The Kelantan government contributed RM500,000 to a fund for the victims of the Putra Heights gas pipeline fire.

The donation was made in Selangor yesterday, with Kelantan Menteri Besar Nassuruddin Daud handing over a mock cheque to Selangor state secretary Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin.

Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari in a Facebook post yesterday, thanked Nassuruddin and the Kelantan government for the contribution.

Selangor often sends help to Kelantan when the latter faces severe flooding.

A massive gas pipeline fire erupted in Putra Heights, Selangor on the morning of April 1.

No casualties were reported, although over 100 people were injured and more than 200 homes damaged. Eighty-seven of those homes were completely destroyed.
