Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung has filed an appeal to contest the outcome of the Petaling Jaya PKR division polls.

This is after he failed to unseat the incumbent division chief, former Petaling Jaya Selatan MP Hee Loy Sian.

"I am confident that PKR as a reform party has a fair system, and through this process, we hope that any doubts can be cleared to ensure the rights of all members are safeguarded," Lee posted on Facebook today.

He said that he had received many calls and messages questioning the outcome of the election.

Lee bagged 2,684 votes in the race, while Hee obtained 2,900 votes.
