Hee Loy Sian announces bid for PKR vice-presidency

PKR supreme council member Hee Loy Sian has announced his bid for the party vice-presidency today.

Taking to Facebook, the former Selangor state tourism, environment, green technology and Orang Asli affairs chairperson listed his years of experience in PKR and his vision, in calling for support for his candidacy.

"I present myself carrying the aspiration of ‘Inclusive Reformist’- a struggle to create change that not only touches aspects of the system, but also ensures justice, benefits and comprehensive participation for every layer of society," Hee said.

Hee began his political journey as a treasurer and deputy youth chief of the Subang PKR division in 2001, and was also a two-term MP for Petaling Jaya Selatan and a one-term assemblyperson for Kajang.

He is presently the Petaling Jaya Selatan PKR division chief.

PKR currently has seven vice-presidents - Amirudin Shari, Nurul Izzah Anwar, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Chang Lih Kang, Aminudin Harun, K Saraswathy and Awang Husaini Sahari.

Its Women’s chief Fadhlina Sidek and Youth chief Adam Adli are also considered as vice-presidents under the party's constitution.
