Opposition lawmakers came out swinging at the government for failing to prevent the latest hike in United States tariffs on Malaysian goods.

In an immediate response, Bersatu MP Wan Saiful Wan Jan demanded an explanation, calling the outcome a failure of diplomacy and negotiations.
