GRS has done its best for the people - Hajiji

Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) has diligently worked to improve the well-being of the people in the state through various initiatives implemented during its five-year governance in partnership with Pakatan Harapan.

GRS chairperson Hajiji Noor said that the initiatives include substantial allocations for students and support for underprivileged groups, measures that previous administrations had not undertaken.

The Sabah chief minister added that it is up to the people to decide whether to give the GRS-Harapan coalition another chance to lead the state government in the upcoming 17th Sabah state election.

“We have done our best, even though there is still much more to be done. There are still issues, such as the water problem that we inherited from the past.

“But the current government has already initiated and is implementing projects to upgrade our water treatment plants to improve the water supply in Sabah,” he told reporters after attending the Sabah legislative assembly sitting in Kota Kinabalu today.

Hajiji has not ruled out the possibility that the current state legislative session might be the last before the assembly is dissolved.

However, the exact date for the dissolution has yet to be finalised, and discussions are still ongoing.

Last Sunday, Bernama reported that Kadzim M Yahya, the Sabah assembly speaker, said that the 16th Sabah legislative assembly would automatically dissolve on Nov 11, unless it is dissolved earlier.
