A break-in at the residence of Mirzan Mahathir, the eldest son of former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, has resulted in the loss of valuables estimated to be worth RM1.8 million.

Mirzan told news portal Scoop that the incident occurred on Wednesday while he was away. His 29-year-old daughter, Khadijah, was home when their domestic helper discovered signs of forced entry.
