The Federal Court has dismissed Semantan Estate (1952) Sdn Bhd’s application for leave to appeal the Court of Appeal’s decision, which held that the Federal Land Registrar is not required to transfer the title of the 106.5ha Duta Enclave land to the company.
As a result, the Court of Appeal’s ruling in favour of the government stands, as the company is unable to proceed with its appeal to the Federal Court due to its failure to obtain leave.
