The air force has identified at least 20 of its officers being involved directly in the alleged wild parties inside its bases.

According to air force chief Norazlan Aris, this was based on initial investigations the force carried out following viral allegations about immoral activities involving its service members.

“Based on initial investigation, 20 air force officers were found to be directly involved in this immoral activity.

“We will make sure that all (alleged) offenders are taken to court for trial according to air force laws.

“It needs to be stressed that such unhealthy activity is not a culture in the force,” said Norazlan in a statement.

He added the air force is serious about any form of disobedience against its rules and orders, and strong action would be taken against any officer who violates them without any compromise.

‘Booze and women’

Three days ago, Norazlan announced that the air force has launched an investigation into allegations that its officers were involved in immoral activities.

This came in the wake of the latest scandal hitting the armed forces, where its officers were alleged of holding parties that involve alcoholic drinks and escorts inside military installations.

Dubbed as "parti yeye", allegations of such activity surfaced last week on social media, with some users publishing pictures of such events and urging the authorities to investigate.

Among the visuals that were spread online, one was allegedly taken at the officers' mess hall inside air forces’ Subang air base in Selangor.

Some netizens also claimed that low-ranking officers were forced to provide alcoholic drinks and women from outside the camps for their superiors.

This prompted the Defence Ministry to order an investigation into these allegations.
