The Five-Point Consensus (5PC) remains Asean's main guide in handling the Myanmar issue, and the regional grouping has renewed calls for an end to violence and for humanitarian assistance to reach those in need.

Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan said the matter was affirmed during an Informal Consultation on the Implementation of the 5PC and an Extended Informal Consultation of the 5PC that discussed the situation in Myanmar yesterday.
