Negeri Sembilan’s territorial chieftains have called for the postponement of the state legislative assembly opening ceremony scheduled this morning until a new ruler is properly appointed.

In a joint statement, the four chieftains known as Undang Yang Empat, together with the tunku besar of Tampin, cited their decision to “sack” the Negeri Sembilan Yang di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir last week.
