• DAP Youth leaders are upset with Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli calling them party “subcontractors” to attend the “Tangkap Azam Baki” rally yesterday.

  The wing’s secretary, Lim Chun Weng, said on Facebook yesterday that they attended the protest because they are “youngster that love Malaysia, (and want to) seek justice for national interests”.

  In a separate statement, wing executive committee member Kusaaliny Mahendran chastised Rafizi for undermining youth voices, while telling the former economy minister to ensure there are no future failures like his Padu (Central Database System) project.

  

  Rafizi had used the “subcontract” term in saying that the top DAP leadership had delegated the task of attending the anti-graft rally to ensure the party’s participation while avoiding conflict between DAP ministers and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

• PKR Women deputy chief Juwairiya Zulkifli has joined the chorus of those calling on disgruntled party members to quit if they’re no longer aligned with the party.

  “We do not want a repeat of the Sheraton Move, where a group of members conspired to tarnish the party’s image and leadership. Some have even acted to sabotage meetings and congresses, as has happened before,” she was quoted as saying by New Straits Times.

  

  “If someone intentionally airs dirty laundry or brings internal issues to the media, or goes as far as demonstrating, that violates ethics. It is as if they are challenging the disciplinary board. Does that not show they no longer want to be with the party?” she asked.
