Founder of the Muafakat Nasional NGO, Annuar Musa, today said the federal and state governments should not take sides in the ongoing Negeri Sembilan royal crisis.

Johor polls
Bersama intends to go solo in the upcoming Johor election despite invitations to form an electoral pact.
In a statement on Facebook, its president, Syukri Razab, said the party’s priority is to offer voters more options after seeing how parties and coalitions have performed since the last general election.

Bersama president Syukri Razab “Bersama is also concerned that any negotiation or understanding being moved by certain quarters would only repeat the old compromises, and the effects of which have already been judged by the voters today.”
Earlier today, it was reported that Amanah secretary-general Faiz Fadzil said his party plans to hold talks with Bersama to avoid overlapping contests between Bersama and Pakatan Harapan parties.

Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has dismissed talk of reviving the Muafakat Nasional alliance between Umno and PAS.
According to Bernama, he told reporters there has been no discussion between the two parties on the matter, and the meeting between Umno and PAS leaders last night did not involve the presidents of either party and was focused on political collaboration and national issues.
Umno and BN’s priority remains to ensure political stability through the government formed with Pakatan Harapan and parties from Sabah and Sarawak, he said.
“The most important thing is to ensure that the current government remains intact until the end of the 15th Parliament’s term,” he said.
