Jasin MP to face committee Tuesday
Backbencher Mohd Said Yusof (BN-Jasin) will meet the parliamentary select committee on integrity next Tuesday over his allegation of questionable practices in the sale of confiscated luxury cars.
Backbencher Mohd Said Yusof (BN-Jasin) will meet the parliamentary select committee on integrity next Tuesday over his allegation of questionable practices in the sale of confiscated luxury cars.
"I told them (the committee) I will come. But I want to speak on all aspects of customs operations, not just on the way the department has been handling the sale of seized luxury cars," said Mohd Said when met at Parliament lobby today.
According to him, the committee chaired by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Bernard Dompok has agreed to the condition.
Customs Department director-general Abdul Rahman Abdul Hamid was summoned yesterday to meet the committee in relation to Mohd Said's claim but the committee found the department had acted within its power.
