Death row inmate Nagaenthran Dharmalingam has lost his final appeal to set aside his conviction and execution.
Lawyer N Surendran claimed that the Singapore Court of Appeal refused to hear Nagaenthran's side of the story, and dismissed the appeal.
Unless there is last-minute clemency by Singapore President Halimah Yacob or unexpected postponement, he will be executed today.
The 33-year-old has been on death row for more than a decade for trafficking about 42.7g of heroin into Singapore, which has some of the world's toughest narcotics laws.
His lawyers said he has a mild intellectual disability due to his lower-than-average IQ of 69.

Syariah courts and women
The conviction of Petaling Jaya MP Maria Chin Abdullah for contempt of the syariah courts has reignited questions of justice for women within Malaysia's Islamic legal system.
The Joint Action Group for Gender Equality (JAG) said the seven-day jail sentence against Maria was disproportionate.
They also claimed that it perpetuated the consistent silencing of women facing injustice in the syariah courts.
Maria was cited for contempt by Naza group chairperson SM Faisal SM Nasimuddin for criticising the court’s custodial penalty meted out to the businessperson’s former wife Emilia Hanafi.
Emilia was jailed by the Syariah Court for rescheduling visitation dates for her children to be with their father.

Cops dive into PAS leaks
Police have initiated a probe into the so-called PAS leaks conspiracy.
Details are scarce, but Kuala Lumpur police chief Azmi Abu Kassim said everyone named in the purportedly leaked document will be questioned.
Police launched the probe following a report lodged by Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi - who is allegedly a target of the conspiracy.
The document, allegedly a leaked summary of meetings between two PAS leaders and top politicians from other parties, purportedly claims that Zahid's corruption case will be fast-tracked.
