Rafizi set for PKR deputy
Rafizi Ramli is set to win the PKR deputy presidency, according to unofficial results released by the PKR central election committee.
Based on the votes released for all states and the federal territories except Sarawak, Rafizi garnered 67,895 votes to his rival Saifuddin Nasution Ismail's 48,797 votes.
While the results will only be made official next month, Saifuddin conceded defeat, stating that the results of the party election should be respected.
The party election also saw some surprises, including PKR veterans Tian Chua's defeat in Batu and Shamsul Iskandar being unseated as the division chief in Hang Tuah Jaya.
Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari fended off a challenge by Farhash Wafa Salvador who was PKR president Anwar Ibrahim's former aide.
An unhappy Farhash demanded a forensic audit of the results.

Zuraida's fate
Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin may have resigned as a Bersatu member but she will still continue to serve as the plantations industries and commodities minister for the time being.
Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said Zuraida can still attend the cabinet meeting and he will only decide on her fate after he meets her this week.
Ismail Sabri's cautious approach could be due to his fragile majority. He commands the support of 116 out of 220 MPs.
Three of those include Zuraida and Parti Bangsa Malaysia's Tebrau MP Steven Choong and Julau MP Larry Sng. Zuraida is set to join PBM in the near future.
Zuraida is also speculated to have the backing of some MPs who previously defected from PKR to Bersatu but they have yet to reveal their hand.
Meanwhile, government leaders urged other parties not to pressure Ismail Sabri on the matter.
Zuraida said she wanted a new multi-ethnic party to boost the government's support in multiracial seats.

UUM death
Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) came under criticism after it imposed a gag order on students over the death of S Vinosiny, a second-year student.
Student groups accused the university management of trying to silence questions surrounding the death.
Vinosiny, 20, had died in her hostel room at UUM's Sintok campus in Kedah.
The accounting student is suspected to have suffered a fatal electric shock, something which the family claims is backed up by injuries on her body and the post-mortem findings.
Her father lodged a police report against the university.

Malaysian Bar president Karen Cheah said the Bar Council is ready to lead a protest against judicial interference after a resolution for that purpose was passed at an extraordinary general meeting.
Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob gave his assurance that the media will be free to operate under his administration, without any interference.
The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) called on the Auditor-General's Department to investigate allegations of corruption in contracts related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
