BN pummels Harapan in Johor
BN won the Johor state election by another massive landslide, this time increasing its seat count from 40 to 48.
Pakatan Harapan, meanwhile, was left with just eight seats - down from 12.
This was after DAP lost four seats, mainly to rival MCA, which outperformed the rocket in total number of seats.
An early analysis suggests that BN’s success was primarily due to a consolidation of Malay votes.

Kancil kicks, PN sinks
In the Saturday election, Parti Bersama Malaysia and all other minor parties and independents lost their deposits.
However, the kancil party did manage to torpedo Harapan’s chances at winning two seats - Perling and Bukit Batu - by snagging protest votes.
The biggest loser of the election, however, was Perikatan Nasional.
It lost deposits in 18 of the 33 seats it contested, while data indicated that infighting between PAS and Bersatu carried over into the ballot box, with supporters of either party boycotting the other.
