Aviation geeks, plane spotters, and parents with their children waited patiently outside the Subang Airfield yesterday.
They were rewarded with the roar of fighter jets flying in formations above their heads.
The fly-past was held as Malaysia played host to the golden jubilee celebration of the Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA).
The FPDA is a series of bilateral defence relationships established between the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Malaysia signed in 1971.
A total of 16 fighter aircraft played a part at the event:
- Five Sukhoi Su-30MKM and four BAE Hawk 208 of the Royal Malaysian Air Force
- Two F-15SG and two F-16C/D of the Republic of Singapore Air Force
- Three F/A-18F of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF)
