I refer to the letter Wither Arab aid ?

People should stop commenting on how much Arab world should help the tsunami survivors. First and foremost, before commenting and criticising, one should ask oneself what is he or she doing to help in the recovery process.

Secondly, if one individual donates a large amount of money to the survivors, this is well and good. But why compare this to aid given by a country? And why single out the Arabs?

Just because the Arab are Muslims is no reason for the Middle Eastern countries to commit themselves to helping us. After all, what have we done for them in the past?

I am not supporting any specific person, religion or country but I feel that criticisms directed against Arab countries for not donating enough for the tsunami victims are pointless besides not serving any purpose. It's really their call and we can choose to accept or not to. Simple.

If we are going to take donor countries to task then we might as well rap the US for donating only what they said instead of all that billions being spent on the Iraq war.

Let's just be happy with what has been pledged and received and start to help the thousands of hapless victims throughout the region instead of being armchair critics.
