Malaysians need to take a cue from the current Bangladeshi government which is taking strong measures to eliminate corruption in their political system. Apparently, they have shortlisted 450 leaders who are allegedly corrupt.

The government has announced that it will make public in batches of 50 the names of all these people. As soon as the names are released, these people have to surrender themselves to the nearest police station and declare their entire family's assets. This has to be done within 72 hours of their names being released.

If they fail to turn up, the government confiscates their wealth and properties and bars them from contesting in politics. It is hoped that this new measure would ensure that candidates contesting in the forthcoming election be free of any scandal or taint of corruption.

Malaysians should emulate such noble act to save our country for many future generations to come.
