The police finally made headway in their probe on the SMS 'death threats' made to three Terengganu state assemblypersons with an arrest of a man.
A 31-year-old clerk was taken in for questioning earlier this week, said Terengganu CID chief Mohd Fauzi Abduri in a press conference in Kuala Terengganu today.
Mohd Fauzi said that the clerk was arrested at about 9.30am on Monday at his house in Bangi, Selangor.
Fauzi also said that the police had seized a computer from the man.
"We have formed a special team to investigate on this matter and we hope it can be solved soon," said the state CID chief, as reported by Bernama .
No other details of that man were revealed as investigations were underway.
On April 13, three Terengganu Umno state representatives lodged police reports that they had received threatening SMSes to warn them against moving a motion of no-confidence against the Menteri Besar Ahmad Said (

Paka assemblyperson Zakaria Abdullah, Abdul Halim Jusoh (Permaisuri) and Rosol Wahid (Ajil) had lodged their police reports shortly after receiving the SMS ‘death threats'.
They also claimed that the SMSes had come from one of Ahmad's top official, who however rejected that accusation.
The three state representatives were then joined by seven others in boycotting the state assembly sitting in Tuesday fearing for the safety.
They only returned to the assembly on Wednesday after being instructed to do so by Prime Minister and Umno president Najib Abdul Razak.
However, there was no motion of no-confidence tabled against Ahmad.
Ahmad under pressure
Ahmad is facing a major opposition from among his own ranks in the state government.
It is now believed that 18 out of 24 Umno/BN elected representatives are against him.
There are 32 seats in the Terengganu state assembly. The remaining eight are held by opposition PAS.
The Umno elected representatives who want Ahmad replaced are believed to be from the faction of former MB Idris Jusoh.
Idris was the party's favourite to be retained as the menteri besar after the 2008 general election but pressure from the Terengganu palace had forced the then prime minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to appoint Ahmad.
One year on, Ahmad is facing the biggest challenge to his post from the elected representatives from his own party.
His loyalists are claiming that the menteri besar has the support of state Umno leaders.
It is also believed that Najib had given Ahmad one month to prove his support in the assembly.
Meanwhile, state police chief Mohd Shukri Dahlan was quoted by Bernama as saying that the SMSes were not sent out by the menteri besar's senior official as claimed earlier.
